Oscar Osborne

Hi, I'm Oscar

My main goal right now is simple: commercialise green steel in Australia.

The long-term vision is bigger. Build a world-class sustainable materials company so the products we buy are actually made from better materials. Getting there means pushing research toward market and building the tools the work needs along the way.

VACSO is the business I'm building. Everything else on this page is a project I've built around it, because the work needed it. Below, the logic.

VACSO, and what I've built around it

VACSO is the company. Around it sit tools and early products I've built because the work needed them. Click any card to read why it exists and how it supports the founder work.

How I Got Here

I studied a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation (BCII) at UTS. After finishing undergrad, I went to business school at UNSW, researching why green hydrogen technologies fail to commercialise. The research showed me that the bottleneck isn't the science. It's supply chains, financing, and market development. That's what led to VACSO: taking what I learned about technology commercialisation and actually doing it.

Along the way, I've built tools to manage everything I'm working on. Electrolyse for brand management. VACSO Hub as the research and operations engine behind WIYD. What started as internal tools are now becoming products in their own right. I'm using AI to build systems that let me work across all of this at once.

My Approach

I share my progress on these projects, what's working and what isn't. The journey page has updates on metrics, milestones, and current challenges.

The goal is transparency. I document the actual work: revenue, users, problems I'm facing, and lessons learned. No highlight reel, just honest updates on building these companies.

If you're building something similar or interested in this kind of work, hopefully the documentation is useful.
